Fira is a nationally recognised practice of landscape architects, urban designers, masterplanners and architects with a people-centric ethos. Over the past four decades our pioneering approach to design – with our emphasis on sustainability and wellbeing – has strengthened our position as one of the country’s leading landscape design practices.
Based in London and Birmingham, we work throughout the UK and overseas on a wide range of projects. Our team is built around talented and dedicated landscape architects who have a real passion for creating inspirational environments.
Collaborating with many of the world’s leading designers, developers and private clients, we have always strived to achieve the highest standards of quality and design excellence. Since our inception in 1976, this pursuit of excellence has been recognised in over 60 design awards.
Every project is unique and our approach is to find a creative solution that is appropriate to the place, the use and the client. There is no house style at Fira… we simply encourage our designers to research, explore and conceive a design response to a design problem.
The environment in which we live and work has a significant impact on our health, our behaviour and our state of mind. We strive to create beautiful places that enhance people’s health and wellbeing.
In essence, there are two threads running through everything that we do: wellbeing and sustainability. As a leading exponent of the importance of health and wellbeing, this has become an integral part of our designs.
Our emphasis on sustainability means we focus on creating designs that last. A collaborative approach, involving the client team, the design team and the users of the space, enables us to create practical, affordable and attractive designs that will stand the test of time.
