Birmingham BSF

Our commission included the design of the first two batches of schools for the Birmingham Building Schools for the Future programme, heralded as the catalyst for transformation of the Birmingham schools. The first batch included Stockland Green, HML and Broadway schools. The second batch of schools included Waverly, International, Parkview, North Birmingham Academy and Waverley All Through School. Due to the tight urban nature of the sites, careful masterplanning was required to maximise the sites' potential while creating new identities for the schools. The BSF ran from 2008 until 2011 with a total build cost of £150 million.
